Know Before You Go: Fishing Restrictions
Florida Fishing Licenses
Be sure to check the state regulations for fishing and boating in Florida whether you’re exploring central Florida’s lakes or cruising the intercoastal waterways. Planning to fish? Guests and Florida residents must have a fishing license for freshwater or stillwater fishing even if it’s catch and release. You’ll also need a saltwater fishing license for crabs and lobsters according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conversation. All fishing licenses can be purchased online.
Fishing licenses are free for residents 65 or older.
Maine Fishing Licenses
Anyone older than 16 and fishing in Sebago Lake in Maine will need a fishing license too. Licenses are required for all freshwater fishing according to the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
