Lloydminster Village Straddles the Line: Discover the Only Canadian Border Town

It’s A Fine Line

A Picturesque Canadian Abode.

Lloydminster Village lies in a community that holds the distinction of being the only border town in Canada, as it’s located smack-dab on the Saskatchewan-Alberta line. Because the locals are proud of this feature that sets them apart, they’ll be quick to point out to you the tall border markers that serve as unique landmarks. The markers, which have artwork at the bottom that depicts different themes, are quite an attraction.

Out and About

Fireworks, gorgeous grassy areas and sunsets abound at the Sandy Beach Regional Park

The Vic Juba Community Theatre is a great spot for those nights out on the town. This performing arts venue hosts diverse events such as concerts, plays and dance festivals. Upcoming entertainment includes a salute to Conway Twitty & Loretta Lynn, as well as a high school band concert and the theatrical production of Mamma Mia!  Sandy Beach Regional Park, is a hidden jewel for your breath of fresh air in nature and only 15-minutes away from Lloydminster. It’s a place to exercise in the fresh air by swimming at the beach and playing 9-holes on the golf course. When it’s time to eat, you can savor lunch at the picnic pavilion: If you don’t bring your own meal prep in a basket, don’t fret. There is a delectable little snack shop on site.
