Spread the Christmas Cheer
During December, residents of Camelot East Village have an extra spring in their step and sparkle in their eyes as they go about their Christmastime preparations and pursuits. Aside from ongoing activities, such as bingo, card games, and socials, there are special holiday events associated with the season that make it merry, indeed. The only things missing from wintering here are weather-related unpleasantries like shivering from the frigid cold, shoveling snow and slipping on ice.
‘Christen’ Your Calendar
The first event on the agenda is the annual Christmas Cookie Exchange. Everyone gets the opportunity to share cherished family cookie recipes and experience the joy it brings by providing enough for everyone. Add in Snacks, wine, and games – and you have an epic party! Next on the calendar is the Christmas Luncheon on December 14th. The residents enjoy the opportunity to get together and share a lovely meal.
Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree
Those with canine friends dress them up in Christmas costumes and have a parade around the Clubhouse at the Santa Paws Parade on the 17th. The village picks three winners for first, second and third place: Owners receive gift cards, and all dogs receive a gift and treats. The Christmas Gathering is another great time that invites you to come and roast s’mores around the outdoor fire. Following this is a contest for the best-decorated golf cart and best-decorated home. Christmas carols, food and drinks are all a part of this gala.
