Preemptive Health is coming to Cypress Lakes Village to offer health services in the community. Join us to meet the Preemptive nurse team.

Free lunch and a special gift for each attendee.

The program gives eligible members access to a dedicated nurse team at Cypress Lakes that checks in regularly, helps track changes over time and coordinates with existing doctors so nothing falls through the cracks.

Early Bird Dinner Theater Trip

There will be four collection boxes in the clubhouse to drop off your unwrapped toy donations.

Veterans Community Outreach Meeting

Join the Cypress Lakes Veterans Community Outreach group for their first fall meeting. The group’s mission is to help organizations that support our veterans and their families here in Central Florida. CLVCO holds several fundraisers throughout the year to raise funds to help support these initiatives.

Guys & Dolls Bowling League

It’s time to get ready for our fall bowling league that starts in October!. This meeting will be covering the Guys & Dolls Bowling League schedule, election of officers, rules, and general info.

Returning bowlers, please have your team members’ information. If you are new, you can bring your own team of four. Single players are welcome and the league will find a team for you.

Men’s Bowling League

Cypress Lakes Men’s Bowling League is back for another season. Come to the pre-season meeting as teams are organized. Or join the league for free bowling on October 13 at 9:00 am at Maple Lanes. The season official begins October 20.

J.C. Newman Cigar Factory Tour & Trip

• 8:45 am @ Bus leaves the Cypress Lakes Clubhouse. Bus returns at 5:00 pm.

Spend the afternoon in Tampa with a behind the scenes tour of the J.C. Newman Cigar Factory. Tickets include roundtrip motorcoach transportation, the factory tour, flamenco dancer show, and lunch at the Columbia Restaurant.

Par for the Corpse – Comedy Play

The Curtain Time Players has selected a cast and rehearsals are in full swing for our Fall Show, “Par for the Corpse.” The comedy play, by Craig Sodano, follows a group of singles on a golf retreat looking for love but finding murder instead.

Welcome Back Golf Scramble

• Sign up starting at $30 for members

Plans are coming together for the first big golf scramble as snowbirds return. The Welcome Back Golf tournament is open to Cypress Lakes Residents only.

Entry fees include golf, lunch, and a shot at playing for prize money. More details to come in September.

This is a social group for women that enjoy themed luncheons, outings, and bus trips. It’s a fun way to meet neighbors, make friends, and take part in a variety of activities. This group is not golf related.

The Cypress Lakes RV Club is a club for those who are avid RVers and like to travel and enjoy each other’s company.  The Club does several campouts every year.

Join this group of residents that are passionate about honoring Veterans and Veteran Related Organizations. 

They also run a program called the Good Samaritan Handyman Project: Members of the CLVA are available to assist residents of Cypress Lakes with small chores around the house at NO COST to the homeowner. This program is for those residents that are unable to do those tasks themselves.

A social group that meets on Monday morning to make shorts, T-shirts & baby layettes for the children of Polk County. They also make lap robes for nursing homes. It’s a great way to meet ladies with similar interests and contribute to wonderful charities.

Curtain Time Players is the theater group for Cypress Lakes. In addition to being on stage, there are plenty of off-stage activities you can get involved in. They perform three or four shows a year. All residents are invited to join the group and audition for the shows. No experience necessary.

If you enjoy singing four-part harmony, join us for our two annual performances. Practice runs January through March for the spring concert and October through November for the Tree Lighting Ceremony. No tryouts or music reading skills are required.

Green thumb or not, all residents are welcome to join. This is a relaxed and social gardening group where residents learn about plants, share gardening knowledge, and participate in gardening-related projects.

AMBUCS is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving mobility and independence for people with disabilities. This resident-led group supports that mission locally through fundraising and volunteer ramp-building projects that help neighbors stay active and safely remain in their homes.

Neighbor to Neighbor is a volunteer group of approximately 35 members that supports residents who may be living alone or in need of additional assistance. The group offers friendly check-ins, companionship, and helps connect residents with local resources such as transportation, housekeeping, and caregiver services.

Just a friendly reminder that Neighbor to Neighbor is available as a resource if you ever notice a neighbor who may need a little extra support.
