A former social worker, this Tarpon Springs resident helps connect her neighbors with the resources they need.
Tricia draws on years of experience to provide guidance on everything from insurance to Meals on Wheels.

Point Sebago Resort
Location: Casco, Maine
Going the extra mile is natural for Joey Fitts according to neighbors who honored him with a 2025 Point Sebago Choice Award.
Joey won the Unsung Hero Award for building a wheelchair ramp for a neighbor’s wheelchair-bound son. When asked to help, he simply responded, ‘We are a community. We will build it at no charge. This is what community does.’”

Holiday RV Park
Location: Leesburg, Florida
These three tech-savvy volunteers help neighbors within their 55+ community with hands-on technical assistance.
The trio troubleshoot everything from basic laptop and smartphone repairs to questions about watches and tablets.

Joe Jutras
Rolling Greens Village
Location: Ocala, Florida
Joe heads the Rolling Greens Village Golf Association which does more than host scrambles. The Golf Association continually raises money for community non-profits.
Charity tournaments have raised more than $20,000 benefiting organizations like the Florida Center for the Blind and the Marion County Therapeutic Riding Association.

Longtime resident Debby Anderson helps lead a resident-run meal brigade within her 55+ community.
She and fellow volunteers provide home-cooked meals to neighbors during difficult times, free of charge.

Big Pine Key RV Park
Big Pine Key, Florida
This Florida Keys RV park has partnered with local nonprofit CoastLove to help keep the coastline clean. Together, they have worked to protect the Florida Keys by removing debris, restoring native habitats, and educating the community on the importance of preserving this unique ecosystem.
In early 2026, Big Pine Key guests helped remove 566 pounds of garbage from the shoreline.
Cypress Lakes Village
Lakeland, Florida
AMBUCS volunteers raise money and build wheelchair ramps for neighbors in need. These Cypress Lakes resident-volunteers build about 50 ramps each year. The wheelchair ramps aid residents and reduce the risk of falls.
The AMBUCS is a national nonprofit dedicated to creating mobility and independence through volunteer service.

Holiday RV Park
Leesburg, Florida
Helping Hands at Holiday RV Park dedicates time and resources to support Camp Boggy Creek, which helps children with serious illnesses enjoy a traditional camp experience.
The 30+ volunteers from the Leesburg community contribute by crafting quilts and teddy bears. Helping Hands members also visit the camp to stuff teddy bears, fold T-shirts, and make name tags.
Thanks to their generosity, each Camp Boggy Creek camper leaves with a handmade teddy bear and blanket to remind them of their time at camp.
INSIDE HOLIDAY
River Vista RV Park
Ruskin, Florida
Known as the “Park With a Heart,” this active 55+ community has made a lasting impact in the Ruskin area.
Community events like poker runs, silent auctions, holiday dances, and raffles support meaningful causes in the Ruskin, Florida, area. Fundraisers have collected more than $3,500 for Ronald McDonald House, $2,000 for C.A.R.E. Ruskin, and $7,000 for DAV.

Sun Valley
Tarpon Springs, Florida
Lifestyle Coordinator and Sun Valley resident Flip Leclair supports her community through more than engaging events.
Residents can visit Flip & Paula’s Market, a food pantry open to all Sun Valley residents. Each week, the free pantry provides locally donated food including fresh produce, baked goods, and occasionally pet food.
Flip & Paula’s Market served 120 residens in the 55+ community. Unlike traditional assistance programs, this pantry is not income-based. As Flip says, “If you live in Sun Valley, this is for you.”

Rolling Greens Village
Ocala, Florida
Residents of Rolling Greens Village combine fashion, fun, and philanthropy to support Hospice of Marion County.
For more than a decade, residents in this 55+ community have hosted a fashion show featuring clothing from the Hospice of Marion County Thrift Store.
Turning a community event into an opportunity to give back. All proceeds benefit the center and support its mission of providing care and comfort to local families.

Cove Communities is putting the power of giving back into the hands of community leaders and volunteers. A new donation match program launched in 2026, providing thousands of dollars to the causes most meaningful to each community.
The Cove Cares Donation Matching Program returns in 2027 with more opportunities for matching funds.

Big Pine Key RV Park
$4,937 Raised
Beneficiary: Domestic Abuse Shelter Lower Keys
Guests at Big Pine Key turned a pajama brunch into a community fundraiser in 2026. The Ladies’ PJ Luncheon featured a silent auction benefitting the Domestic Abuse Shelter of the Lower Keys.
The Florida Keys shelter provides free emergency shelter and support to victims of domestic abuse and their families.
Blueway RV Park
$4,572 Raised
Beneficiary: Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation
Live music and a live auction raised big money in Fort Myers, Florida, at Blueway RV Park. The RV community hosted the concert fundraiser to benefit the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
The Foundation provides mortgage-free homes and support to catastrophically injured veterans, fallen first responder families, and Gold Star families.
Rolling Greens Village
$2,593 Raised
Beneficiary: Hospice of Marion County
Rolling Greens residents took the runway to support Hospice of Marion County, modeling items from the organization’s thrift store.
More than 150 residents attended the fashion show.
Each model shared a little about themselves, adding a personal touch while showcasing the community’s support for a meaningful cause.
Communities Supporting Veterans
Cove Cares and residents making a difference extend to supporting veterans living within these communities. Each active adult community and RV resort honors American heroes in a unique, personal way.
You’ll find resident-funded veteran plazas in Florida, 55+ communities like Rolling Greens Village and The Meadows. Other resident-led groups help coordinate military honors, replace American flags, or accompany veterans to VA medical appointments.
