Take a vacation unlike any other at Point Sebago, a unique lakeside resort on the Northern shores of Sebago Lake in southern Maine. Since 1970, Point Sebago has been blurring the line between camping and resort, combining the raw beauty of the Maine outdoors with the comfort of a well-appointed retreat.
Eager for a stay that’s out of the ordinary? Let’s dive in and explore the unique accommodations Point Sebago has to offer.
Glamping Tents
Camping is great – you can leave modern conveniences behind and connect with nature. But camping usually means leaving some modern conveniences behind. How about you add some glamour to that camping experience with glamping tents, a chic and comfortable approach to traditional camping?
At Point Sebago, each glamping tent has a private bathroom, ensuring you enjoy the best of both worlds – the wilderness allure and home-like comfort. This is camping refined, offering a chance to bask in the glory of nature without compromising on the amenities of civilization. With features like air conditioning, heat, a mini-fridge, and more, you’ll likely forget that you’re staying in a tent.
Stargazers: Your Own Personal Observatory
Next on our list are the Stargazers, repurposed shipping containers transformed into captivating tiny homes. Many of these quirky abodes come with balconies and second levels, offering stunning vistas of the night sky. Imagine yourself, beverage in hand, gazing at the stars and embracing the tranquility of a quiet Maine evening. This is an enchanting experience that caters to your inner romantic and stargazer alike.
Tiny Homes
Continuing our journey into the unconventional, let’s step into our tiny homes. Although small in size, these miniature dwellings pack a mighty punch when it comes to amenities and charm. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by how much these compact homes offer.
Despite their size, they feature a kitchenette for whipping up your favorite meals, a full bathroom, and a loft with a comfy double-sized bed. But the fun doesn’t stop indoors. Each tiny home comes with a picnic table for outdoor dining, and a fire ring to keep the conversation and marshmallow roasting going into the evening. Perfect for the minimalistic traveler, our tiny homes are a testament to the saying, “good things come in small packages.”
Designer Cottages: Rustic Meets Modern
Our designer cottages offer a tasteful blend of rustic charm and modern luxury. Step inside one of these sanctuaries, and you’ll be greeted with contemporary appointments seamlessly integrating with traditional, rustic stylings. These cottages remind you that seeking a quiet getaway doesn’t mean that you have to compromise on comfort or style.
We have three different designs, each with their own flair and floor plan: The Low Country, The Salt Box, and The Alexander. While they’re each distinct in their layout and design, they share a some great features… two bedrooms, loads of beautiful exposed wood both inside and out, prime water view locations, and fully-equipped kitchens and bathrooms. And let’s not forget the most important feature – these cottages are overflowing with character and charm. They’re more than just a place to stay; they’re a place to experience.
The Island Lodge: Lakeside Luxury
The Island Lodge is our largest and most lavish accommodation. This grand 4,000-square-foot lakeside home spans three floors and can comfortably sleep sixteen adults. After a day packed with activities around the resort, there’s nothing quite like unwinding in the lodge’s own sauna and hot tub.
Feeling hungry? Fire up the grill on the wrap-around deck with stunning views of Sebago Lake, or if you’re in the mood for something more elaborate, the spacious kitchen has got you covered. Enjoy your meal in the great room, boasting cathedral ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, offering the perfect backdrop of the lake.
Cottage on the Green: The Golfer’s Dream
Finally, let’s check out the Cottage on the Green. This private house has room for twelve guests and is situated right alongside the seventh hole – talk about a golfer’s paradise! But even if you’re not into golf, it’s a great place for a group getaway.
Picture this: you spend your days playing on the 18-hole championship golf course, then when night falls, you’re hanging out by the campfire, having a few beers, or challenging each other to a game of pool in the game room. And don’t forget; there’s always the Sebago Lounge right around the corner with more exciting entertainment just waiting for you.
Point Sebago isn’t just another run-of-the-mill holiday spot; it’s a unique property with multiple opportunities to shake up the usual vacation vibe. You get to enjoy the Maine outdoors and take advantage of top-notch resort amenities and activities, all while kicking back in some seriously unique accommodations.
