The anticipation is over on another thrilling year of talent during the 3rd annual Cove’s Got Talent competition! The finale, held at Cypress Lakes Village, was the final showcase after a round of preliminary talent show competitions.
A Cove Communities Talent Show
With eleven finalists competing for the grand prize, they showcased a diverse range of talents. Spanning from playing instruments to singing and dancing. Each performance was truly unique and captivating.
On the day of the finale, we were honored to have the charismatic Rechell Sears as our MC, a U.S. Army veteran whose presence added an extra layer of significance to the event. Among the panel of judges was Dorothy Copfer, Corporate Partnerships Manager representing DAV, Connor Feagin, Entertainment Operations Manager at Talent Artistic Group, and Carol Erkes, founder of Florida Dance Theatre.
So without further ado and after much deliberation, we’re excited to announce the 2024 Cove’s Got Talent winners!

Show Raises $100K for Disabled American Veterans
The Cove’s Got Talent competition is not just a day of performances and jaw-dropping displays of skill. It’s also a platform for a noble cause. Each year, we proudly partner with the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). A non-profit organization dedicated to providing vital support to veterans and their families.
This year’s Cove’s Got Talent was particularly special as we were able to raise a total of $106,752, surpassing last year’s proceeds for Disabled American Veterans! This brings our total fundraising efforts since 2022 to over $300,000.
This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of our corporate and individual sponsors. Including Jacobsen Homes, Colleen Edwards, Big Fish, Novak Environmental Services, and many others.
Our resorts and communities also played a pivotal role in this success by organizing multiple fundraising events. From bake sales and health fairs to pancake brunches and yard sales, each event contributed to our overall goal.
Initiatives like raffles, auctions, homemade bracelet exchanges, and pub crawls added a fun and creative element to our fundraising efforts.
Through their commitment and hard work, we were able to raise an astounding $56,752 in Disabled American Veterans donations. This makes it the highest amount ever raised by our resorts and communities. Cove donated an additional $50,000, which helped us reach our total.
We are grateful to everyone who contributed their time, resources, and dedication to making this year’s fundraiser a success. Through their hard work and commitment, we were able to surpass our fundraising goal and make a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans and their families.
If you’re interested in seeing the show for yourself, we have the recording from our YouTube Channel. Also, photos are on our Cove Communities Facebook page. We hope to see you all next year!
