Local Attractions
The Highwood Gold Club is a delightful place for spending time out on the links, but it’s much more. It hosts various entertainments, as well as offers yoga on Mondays and Wednesdays. In addition, the onsite restaurant is a nice place for a meal or afternoon tea.
History buffs will delight in visiting Museum of the Highwood. Housed in an old train station, the depository is a place to browse through exhibits and listen to interesting stories of the pioneer days. Aside from historical items, it has memorabilia from films that have been shot in town. In addition, interactive activities are available for children.
Must-Haves in High River
If you ask residents to recommend a good local place for eating out, they’ll rave about the Hitchin Post. Open only in the summer months, the eatery serves up fabulous fish and chips, along with burgers, fresh fruit milkshakes and onion rings. The fries taste homemade, and the hot fudge sundaes are worth the trip alone. Come hungry because the portions are ample.
You’ll enjoy life on the Canadian prairie! You can choose to either rent or purchase one of our homes.
