Blake Tyler Brings Live Music to Big Pine Key RV Park

Blake Tyler and his band on stage at Big Pine Key RV Park in Florida.

For country singer-songwriter Blake Tyler, a first trip to the Florida Keys in 2025 was more than just a getaway. It was a chance to experience the laid-back lifestyle at Big Pine Key RV Park, meet fellow music lovers, and give guests an unforgettable preview of the Key West Songwriters Festival.

“Don’t threaten me with a good time. I would love to come back to Big Pine Key, and any chance we get to play down here.”

First Time Visiting the Florida Keys

Blake made the road trip from Ohio to the Florida Keys in May 2025. The roadshow marked his first time seeing the 7 Mile Bridge, exploring Key West, and discovering all that the islands have to offer.

The journey itself was part of the adventure.

Blake and his band drove nearly 19 hours to the resort on Big Pine Key in a 12-passenger van.

“It’s been amazing. Obviously, being by the water and the beach and all the great food that’s down here—it’s been awesome,” described Blake before the show. “But also the people at the campground have been really welcoming and a lot of fun to be around.”

Was it work? A vacation? It was likely both for Blake and his band.

The team enjoyed the convenience of full-service oceanfront living at Big Pine Key RV Park. A bonus for folks like Tyler who don’t own an RV, Big Pine Key offers travel trailer rentals and tiny home vacation rentals. So you don’t need to own an RV to experience the magic of Big Pine Key.

Blake also carved out time to explore nearby dining options and the relaxed atmosphere that sets Big Pine Key RV apart from larger Florida Keys hotels.

“We would definitely come back.”

Oceanfront Music Around the Big Pine Key Campfire

Guests at Big Pine Key RV Park were treated to something extraordinary, too, during Blake’s visit – an acoustic session with Blake at the campfire pit.

Visitors could request songs, sing along, and chat with the up-and-coming artist in an intimate setting rarely found at popular hotels or large venues. The evening captured what the Florida Keys offer best—community, connection, and the beauty of live music next to the ocean, under the stars.

The following night, Blake and his band returned to perform on stage at Big Pine Key RV’s community center. It was a true celebration of music with resort guests packing the space, a food truck, and bartenders serving drinks.

Live Music & Ocean Vibes at Big Pine Key

Live music is a tradition at Big Pine Key RV Park. Live musicians are often scheduled to play for guests. You can find the list of upcoming Big Pine Key entertainment and activities on the resort website.

You’ll typically find more musical performances during the big Florida Keys music festivals, including Mile 0 Fest, which takes over Key West at the end of January. There’s also the Key West Songwriters Festival, which draws thousands of people to the Florida Keys each May.

Key West Songwriters Festival 2026

The annual Key West Songwriters Festival is the largest of its kind in the world, drawing acclaimed musical artists and fans from across the country. Blake joined in on the 2025 festival. While he didn’t perform in Key West, he did travel to Key West to experience the festival during his stay at Big Pine Key.

For guests looking ahead to 2026, Big Pine Key RV Park offers the perfect balance: close enough to the festival. However, the waterfront oasis is tucked away in a quieter setting where you can relax after a day of live music.

PRO TIP: Take the Key West Bus

Big Pine Key is an hour drive from Key West. Travelers recommend the Key West bus which costs about $4 and leaves every three hours.

Discover the Music of Blake Tyler

Keep an eye out for Blake Tyler as he climbs the music charts and eyes his chance to perform at the Key West Songwriters Festival.

Music runs deep in Blake Tyler’s family. His grandmother, Linda Farrell, was part of Ann Jones and Her Western Sweethearts—the first all-female country music group in history. The group’s pioneering role earned them a place in the Country Music Hall of Fame. It also left an impression on Blake from an early age.

“I’ve been around country music my whole life,” Blake said. “My grandma is in the Country Music Hall of Fame with her band. That’s the kind of music I grew up around.”

Blake’s own sound leans more toward mainstream, new-school country.

While he appreciates the traditional style his grandmother performed, his songwriting blends fresh storytelling with a modern energy that resonates with today’s audiences.

“The style of music that I play and write is not so much Nashville,” he explained.

This mix of heritage and individuality is part of what makes Blake’s performances stand out. His shows bring a personal touch to the country music tradition. It honors the past while creating something new. From acoustic sets at the firepit to full-band shows on stage, Blake’s visit proved that music thrives at Big Pine Key RV Park.
