You don’t need to book a vacation for your kids to fish at CreekFire RV Resort in Savannah, Georgia, this September. Kids fish for free during the Alee Anglers Fishing Derby on Saturday, September 6.
It’s all thanks to the Alee Shriners in Savannah. The fishing club within the Shriners organization teaches children to fish while helping to raise money for children in need of medical treatment.

Shriners from Alee Anglers will be teaching kids how to set hooks, use the right bait, and catch and release.
The 4th annual Fishing Derby is on the grounds of CreekFire RV Resort this fall. The fall event is open to the public. The lakefront resort is a short drive outside of Savannah’s historic district.
Exact registration and event times will be released by the end of June for the Alee Anglers Fishing Derby.
There are three age groups for the Fishing Derby. Kids 16 and under can register to fish and win prizes. The Alee Anglers will award trophies for the longest fish. There’s also a prize for the most fish caught.
Fishing Themed Weekend at CreekFire RV Resort
Fishing is free for kids. However, there is a $5 parking fee per car that includes all the best of CreekFire. The parking pass gives little anglers and their families access to the CreekFire’s top-notch amenities like the lazy river and splash pad.

The Alee Shrine is based in Savannah, Georgia. The 1,200 members raised more than $400,000 each year to help patients throughout Georgia seek treatment in Florida, South Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
