2. Formulate Your Plan
Do yourself a favor and do a little bit of research before you get to the show, you can find the details here. Get a map of the venue and a list of the vendors so you can mark which ones are a ‘must-see’ during your time. The show is huge and it can be overwhelming, but if you take a look at the show layout, seminar schedule and prioritize your specifications, you be more effective as you explore. If you want to be even better prepared, Download the show app so you can access the show info directly from your smartphone.
3. Comfort is Key: Wear Supportive Shoes
This is a great opportunity to get a workout in while you wander so you may as well wear your Fitbit or step tracker so you can log your progress. With that said, it really does take quite a toll on your feet and the last thing you want to do is be forced to go home early because you weren’t wearing the proper shoes. So even if it may not be the most fashionable option, lace up those comfy but sturdy tennis shoes and save yourself some pain. If you need a wheelchair, they are available to rent at the entrance gate, find more details here.
4. Gather Your Super Show Crew, Yes – Pets Included!
Meeting up at the RV Show can be a fun experience, especially if you are bringing the whole family – it is a great place to bond. And yes the RV Supershow is pet-friendly! Ensure to have your furry friend on a leash and consider whether your pet will be ok with large crowds. If you feel like camping out, overnight dry camping is available for $20/ night at the Florida State Fairgrounds (advanced reservations not required). If you’re new to dry camping, here’s a helpful video that will get you started. Enjoy connecting and dreaming of future RV adventures with your crew.
5. Take Advantage of Deals and Discounts
Tickets are $15 per person at the gate and $13 if you buy your ticket online in advance. Children under 16 are free, seniors pay just $11 at the gate on Wednesday, and First Responders & Military (active & retired) pay $11 any day. Your ticket is good for a free second-day return, so take advantage of it and keep coming back for more. Be aware that when you arrive at the Fairgrounds, you’ll also pay an initial parking fee of $10 per car or $16 per RV upon arrival for the RV Supershow. It’s always good practice to have cash on hand!
One of the best things about attending an RV trade show is that almost every vendor has some sort of contest or giveaway. From coupons, free night stays, and free tote bags it’s nearly impossible to ever leave a show empty-handed.
Be sure to stop by our booths B320-B321 in building B to take advantage of our discounts, giveaways and a great game of bingo! Or head outside to tour our park model in the model home center lot.
6. Bring Water, Snacks, and Weather Protection
You never know if a surprise rainstorm or a blistering hot day is upon you unless you prepare. By simply checking the weather before you head out for your ultimate RV trade show experience, you’ll save yourself a lot of time of potentially being very uncomfortable. Bring a refillable water bottle as it can get exhausting walking around and asking all those questions. If you want to save some money and time standing in lines, bring your own snacks so you can stay focused on the task at hand.
7. Pace Yourself and Have Fun!
These shows are meant to give attendees the opportunity to sample and gain some new knowledge about all things RV related. So make sure to take your time and experience everything the show has to offer. Attend that cooking seminar, sit on the furniture of a new RV, and definitely ask questions!
