As Point Sebago Resort celebrates its 55th anniversary, three exciting new additions are set to debut in 2025, including a $500,000 transformation of the sports complex. It’s part of a larger $2.6 million investment in 2025 to enhance Point Sebago’s aging infrastructure and facilities.
The changes aim to improve resort amenities, activities, and food offerings at the Casco, Maine campground. It’s all in an effort to preserve the cherished traditions of the Sebago Lake resort while offering fresh family-friendly fun.
Point Sebago Resort has built a reputation for offering five decades of a classic family summer camp experience, packed with outdoor adventures, whether you’re staying in a lakeside cabin or an RV site.
But before you book your vacation online, see how these exciting upgrades will enhance your stay, providing even more reasons to make Point Sebago your yearly destination.
1. Sports Complex Overhaul & Resurfacing
Get your game on! Serve, dunk, and score at Point Sebago’s upgraded sports complex starting in summer 2025. The location of the resort amenities is the same, but guests will find fresh new surfaces for a better experience. The half-million-dollar upgrade includes new pickleball courts and upgraded courts for tennis, shuffleboard, volleyball, and basketball. The renovated sports complex features:
- 12 pickleball courts with fencing and screening to separate the courts
- Two tennis courts
- Designated area for shuffleboard
- Fresh sand on the volleyball court
- Resurfaced basketball court

Renovations on the sports complex began in fall 2024. Follow Point Sebago on social media for updates on when the resurfaced courts will officially open.
Then, check the resort activity calendar or CampersApp for dates and times for tournaments. Sports tournaments are one of the many traditions at Point Sebago Resort. The family-friendly competitions also offer guests a shot at winning the coveted “I Won It” t-shirt. Guests will also see the return of the popular multi-day bracketed tournaments when the courts reopen.
Tee Off at Point Sebago Golf Course
In the meantime, guests can still squeeze in some friendly competition at Point Sebago’s 18-hole championship golf course.
The par-72 course is designed to challenge all levels of play for Sebago Lake locals and guests. Book your tee time online and see why Point Sebago Golf was named the #1 Public Golf Course in Maine, topping the 2025 Golfers’ Choice list by GolfPass.

Investing in the Future of Point Sebago’s Guest Experience
Recent upgrades and additions are all part of a larger plan to keep improving the guest experience at Point Sebago Resort. The sports complex resurfacing is part of a larger $2.6 million investment focusing on upgrading infrastructure and facilities at the Maine campground.
Cove Communities, which owns Point Sebago, continues to invest in the service side of the resort, too. The company invests $1 million annually in activities and entertainment.
Since the change in ownership in 2018, Cove Communities has invested more than $18.5 million into Point Sebago. Improvements include enhancing the wastewater and drinking water infrastructure, upgrading rental cabins, and equipment upgrades.
The improvements don’t stop there.
In the coming years, Cove Communities plans to invest in a new marina. Point Sebago Resort management is also looking at plans to strengthen the infrastructure while continuing to elevate other services and guest facilities.
