We have on-site storage areas available for oversized vehicles.
At StrawBerry Ridge we welcome pets with reasonable rules in place. There are no weight restrictions; however we do restrict aggressive pets.
MacDill Air Force Base is located in South Tampa approximately 35 minutes from StrawBerry Ridge.
We have one of the most comfortable climates in the state with an average year-round temperature of 74 degrees.
There are a number of fine championship courses in the area including Diamond Hill, Bloomingdale, Plantation and Summerfield Crossings, all of which are a five- to 10-mile drive.
Yes, we do provide our residents with exceptional facilities for health and wellness. You can work out to your heart’s content in our fitness center. We offer state-of-the-art Nautilus equipment, including treadmills, stationary bikes, stair-steppers and more! If you prefer floor exercising, we offer aerobic classes in our studio for individuals or groups. Tennis and pickleball courts, and shuffleboard are also available.
West Central Florida is home to some of the best sports fishing in the state. For the deep-sea fisherman, the Gulf of Mexico is within 25 miles of StrawBerry Ridge providing access to Florida’s finest grouper, snapper and tarpon. There is also fly-fishing on the flats, and you can drop a link in just about any of Florida’s rivers or lakes. Don’t miss out on some of the best bass along the Alafia and Hillsborough Rivers, just a 12-mile drive away — a fantastic meal awaits you!
There are a ton of activities daily and nightly for just about any interest. For the crafty folk, “The Berry Clay Pit” is run by an instructor with more than 45 years of ceramics experience hosting a number of classes weekly. Enjoy painting, wood working, an array of cards and games; the list is endless. From square dancing to live music, card parties, pancakes breakfasts, potluck dinners to Bingo, you’ll never get bored!
In short, very safe. All manufactured homes built from 1994 on require wind standard construction, which is governed by HUD. Our homes are built to withstand winds of 125 mph. In fact, StrawBerry Ridge made it through the Hurricanes of 2004 without any major damage!
